Juggernauts are a snowbreed mutation in After the Fall known for their tall stature, insane durability, and ability to freeze a player in one hit.
Characteristics[]
The Juggernaut looks to be a Soldier in heavy armour that has a high amount of damage due to its muscular size. All Juggernauts were male and it seems that they probably overdosed on too much Juice, which not only turned them feral but made them a leader.
Game Mechanics[]
When a Juggernaut spawns, the currently playing background music track will be overridden by the juggernaut's theme after its audio cue, and continue playing until it's killed. Juggernauts will lock onto the closest player they can see and move towards them at a pace slower than a walking player.
If a player gets within melee range of a walking Juggernaut, the Juggernaut will grab that player by the neck, rendering them unable to walk or run in any direction. The player will then be lifted into the air while the Juggernaut winds up a punch for three seconds, after which the player becomes instantly frozen and the Juggernaut will move on to a new target. While grabbed, a player can still look around and use their weapons and wrist device.
If the Juggernaut takes enough damage to stagger, they will let go of a player they grabbed.
Strategies[]
- If dealing with a large horde or multiple specials, kite away from the Juggernaut and prioritize everything else - its slow movement will give you time to deal with the other threats before it becomes a threat itself.
- If a squadmate is grabbed, focusing fire on the Juggernaut can save them.
- A player being grabbed can ideally make use of Wrist Rockets, the Pump Shotgun or pipe bombs to help in freeing themselves.

During Game[]
During the Juggernaut's time in the game, 2 things will happen. Firstly, the game's music will be overridden by the Juggernaut's theme song. As the Juggernaut is alive, he will make a breathing sound effect as he walks toward the players. The Juggernaut breathing implies that he has some kind of internal organ structure that could contain lungs.
